Play with music – our universal language. Culturally, music plays a vital role in celebrations, death and cultural identity. As well as exploring the psychology and culture of music, in Strike a Chord – The Science of Music you can discover the science of acoustics, create your own instruments, have a musical massage and much, much more.
Strike a Chord appeals to visitors of all ages, particularly older primary school students through to adults. Several exhibits are suitable for people with hearing or vision impairments, as they focus on vibrations that can be felt as well as heard.
